Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Through the Gastronomic platform, Osteria Francescana, #1 restaurant in the world in 2018 and with three Michelin stars, arrives in the Dominican Republic to offer a special dinner for four days with capacity for 100 people per night at Blue Mall’s Epic Center.

The seven-course dining experience will be led by renowned Italian chef Massimo Bottura, who will create iconic dishes from the celebrated restaurant such as the Beautiful Psychedelic Spin Painted Veal, not Flame and the famous Oops! I Dropped the Lemon Tart, among others.

“We don’t do many events outside of the Osteria Francescana. We do them only when we are sure we can provide an experience similar to what diners can have in our restaurant. We are excited to arrive in the Dominican Republic for the first time and share special dishes from our kitchen,” said Massimo Bottura about the event.

The Special Dinner with Massimo Bottura will take place on November 19, 20, 21 and 22, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Epic Center in Blue Mall.

Evelyn Betancourt, director of News Group, one of the companies that make up the Gastronomic platform explains that “this event puts Santo Domingo to eat with Michelin stars and contributes to tourism to our country by inviting lovers of good food to visit us to enjoy the most vibrant experiences at the table”.

The Osteria Francescana, located in Modena, Italy turned out to be in 2018 once again the world leader in first place on the list of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards, a position it held in 2016.

Bottura opened Osteria Francescana in the medieval city center of Modena. His concept was to mix his culinary tradition and innovation with contemporary art and design. In 2012, after a remodeling that combined contemporary art and avant-garde cuisine, the restaurant was awarded its third Michelin star.

It is recalled that in 2015, Massimo Bottura and his Osteria Francescana restaurant appeared in the first episode of the first season of the Netflix series “Chef’s Table”.
